Pakistan Marine Academy Test Date 2024 PMA Course
The Pakistan Marine Academy has announced the test date for the 2024 session to select Merchant Navy Deck and Marine Engineering Cadets. This test is an important step for those who want to join the Merchant Navy and is scheduled for September 2024.
Eligibility and Test Details
Only unmarried male candidates can apply, and they must be under 20 years old by December 31, 2024. There’s a special age relaxation of one year for candidates from certain areas like FATA, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, and Balochistan.
To be eligible, candidates must have completed Higher Secondary School (Pre-Engineering) with at least 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Students awaiting their final results can also apply, but they must submit their results by September 20, 2024.
Seats and Competition
There are 150 seats available, with 75 for Deck Cadets and 75 for Engineering Cadets. The competition is tough, as candidates from all over Pakistan will be vying for these limited spots. The test will consist of simple questions but will be highly competitive.
Job Opportunities and Certification
Passing the test is the first step towards job opportunities in the Merchant Navy as a Deck or Engineering Cadet. Successful candidates will receive certifications in ship management, marine engineering, and an associate degree from NED University of Engineering and Technology in Karachi. The 56th batch of PMA cadets will be selected based on this test.
