Sahiwal Medical College (SLMC) was established in 2010 and is known for providing quality medical education. The college admits 100 students into its MBBS program each year. SLMC is affiliated with Headquarters Hospital (438 beds), Haji Abdul Qayyum Hospital (72 beds), and Ghalla Mandi Mini Hospital.
Initially, in November 2024, the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) withdrew recognition from the college, halting the issuance of MBBS degrees. However, SLMC was re-registered in 2024, and its MBBS program resumed.
