Dahi Baray Recipe In Urdu Lahori Besan Dahi Bhalla Chaat Method

You might have noticed that when it comes to Iftar tables then they are mostly filled with the dishes of pakorays and Dahi Baray, fruit chat.  It is a dish which is never and ever missed out during 30 days of fasting. It is suggested to make this dish at your home so that you can use fresh yogurt, fresh items. Dahi Baray from markets are normally not that much safer to eat. The ingredients need to make this simple and tasty dish is, you will need 200 gram of White lentils, 1 tsp of Crushed red pepper 1 tsp, 1/2 inch piece of Ginger. 1 tsp of Salt and 1 tsp of Baking powder, 1 tsp of White cumin. Get Oil, yogurt, 5 tbsp of Caster sugar, 1/4 cup of water, 1 tsp of Chili powder, 1 tsp of Cumin whole, 1 tsp of Chat Masala. 2 tbsp of Coriander leaves, Green chutney, Sweet chutney.

The method is first you have to soak the Daal in water for about the time of 5-6 hours. Then blend this daal. Add crushed red pepper and ginger, add also salt and  baking powder and too white cumin right in the blender.You can add suitable amount of water in the blender so that these ingredients can be blended properly.

Drop all of this mixture in the preheated oil with the help of spoon and then fry it for about 8-10 minutes. Have luke warm water and add salt and red chili powder, add cumin whole in that luke warm water. Then you have to place those fried Baray in water right after 2 minutes of frying process. Keep them in water for about 4-5 minutes.

Take yogurt and some caster sugar, pinch of salt in it and mix well and properly. Get a serving bowl and pour this entire yogurt in that serving bowl. Press each of the single barays with your hands and squeeze all of the water from those Barays.

Carefully place all of these these barays on your yogurt dish. You can add some more yogurt right over baray. Now sprinkle a little amount of chat Masala and pinch of red chili powder, some green chilies and coriander over yogurt. Pour and sprinkle meethi chutney and serve these dahi barays to your guests.
