Ingredients Needed for Gajar Ka Halwa
- Carrots: 1 kg (peeled)
- Milk: 1.5 liters
- Eggs: 6 (boiled, crushed, and peeled)
- Saffron: 1 teaspoon
- Ghee: 250 grams
- Khoya: 250 grams
- Green Cardamom: 12 pieces (seeds removed)
- Sugar: 250 grams (make a syrup)
- Kewra Water: 4 tablespoons
Method to Make Gajar Ka Halwa
- Cook the Carrots:
- Take a pan and put in the peeled carrots.
- Turn on the heat to medium. Don’t make it too high or too low.
- Cook the carrots without adding water because they will release their own water.
- Once the carrots are cooked and there’s no more water in the pan, remove it from the heat.
- Prepare the Ghee and Cardamom Mixture:
- Take another pan and add ghee.
- Add the green cardamom seeds and cook them.
- Add the cooked carrots to the ghee and cardamom mixture.
- Add Milk and Sugar:
- Slowly pour the milk into the carrot mixture, a little at a time.
- Once the milk is added, gradually pour in the sugar syrup.
- Cook everything together until the carrots are soft and well-cooked.
- Final Touches:
- Add the kewra water and saffron. Mix them first before adding.
- Your Gajar Ka Halwa is now ready.
- Sprinkle Khoya on top and place the boiled eggs on the halwa for decoration.
